After some time spent lurking we've more or less returned to the interwebs, where everything is crunchy and goes well with mustard. Hullo!
We have a new icon, made for us by ~milo2 and summing up the warm fuzzies we all feel for our beasties. Come on, we know you luv 'em.
We've also been watching you (*spookyhands*) and we've noticed scads of wondrous beasties lurking about your respective galleries. Don't forget, you can submit as many as you want to this little collection! Beasties do well with a few playmates.
Come, play with us! Frrrrrolic.
PS- would anyone like to make us a pretty, pretty ID? ~milo2 could do it, except she doesn't want to hog the spotlight, and maybe somebody else could do better!

Welcome, one and all, to the Grand Opening of Thingbeasties, a club devoted to the love of all creatures random, nonsensical, and vaguely disturbing! Feel free to have a look around.
This club is NOT:
- a place for furries/fursonas
- a Silent Hill club
- a dragons/hellhounds/magicwings hotspot
What it IS:
- a place to show off and appreciate your most random creations
- a place to love upon them all anonymously (you never know which ones might bite!)
Interested in joining? Send us a note requesting entry; it's that simple! We wouldn't turn you down
Once you've joined, you can submit your own work to the club's gallery. There are criteria:
1. For goodness' sake, no furries.
2. Humanoid beasties are quite acceptable. It's up to the artist, of course, to judge whether their beastie is completely inhuman or not, but please, do try to draw the line somewhere we can see it.
3. Anthros aren't beasties. I'm sorry. A man with a fox head and tail doesn't count. ...well, maybe.
4. Absolutely no pretty 'nagas' here. However, if you decide to submit a mutated-bloodthirsty-naga-from-the-deepest-bowels-of-Hell, I'm all for it. Same rule applies for centaurs, unicorns, merfolk...
5. Images inspired by existing mythology are just fine and dandy, but originality in the final design is what we'd like to see. What we encourage here is personal lore and mythology, not spin-offs of the Aesir and their children.
Welcome, random monstrosities!
